Debt Management

Most small businesses will eventually need to borrow money. Small businesses typically
incur debts to cover start-up costs, provide working capital, or purchase materials
and equipment. A small business owner must know how to manage debt effectively if
their business is to survive and grow. This training class will teach you the concepts
behind debt management, as well as techniques that a small business owner can use
to analyze and manage debt.
You must register in advance. No walk-ins accepted.

This half-day workshop is designed to empower small business owners with information regarding winning government contracts. All public agencies, from local school districts to large federal departments, must formally procure products and services. All are required to purchase services and products from small businesses.

If you are interested in growing your business – but feel overwhelmed by “government red tape” – this workshop will help you to see that selling to government agencies may be easier than you think! This workshop is designed to help business owners understand what the government is buying and how to navigate the procurement process.

Business Structure

Many factors must be considered when choosing the best form or structure of business ownership. The choice you make can have an impact on multiple aspects of your business including: taxes, liability, ownership succession, and others. It is not a decision to be entered into lightly, or one that should be made without sound counsel from business experts. In this session, you will get an in-depth analysis of each type of entity, and have an opportunity to have your questions answered. The session will be taught by a local attorney through our partnership with the Lawyer Referral Service of Central Texas.
